Every year, our Impact Review showcases the work of Bristol Health Partners Academic Health Science Centre (AHSC).
It includes updates from our Health Integration Teams (HITs) about some of the research and activities we have been involved in, which aim to improve health and care for people across Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire.
In the last year, our HITs and the partnership enabled more than £10.6 million in funding for different research projects in 2023-24 and a further £2.8 million for projects to improve health outcomes and address health inequalities. In our Impact Review we highlight these achievements and more:
- Board Chair, Maria Kane OBE, and AHSC Director, Professor David Wynick, recap the year’s highlights, from joining the national Shared Commitment to Public Involvement to collecting data about who is taking part in health research to improve diversity.
- A public contributor reflects on a year’s involvement with our Stroke HIT.
- We celebrate the progress made by the BNSSG ICB diverse Research Engagement Network.
