The Active Lives Health Integration Team (HIT) is pleased to welcome Guy Fishbourne as a new co-director.
As Sport and Physical Activity Development Manager at Bristol City Council, Guy is responsible for ensuring that public health outcomes are achieved through the Council’s leisure management programmes and sports provision. He has co-ordinated city partners to develop the Bristol Active City Network and Bristol’s One City whole system, place-based approach to physical activity, including the commissioning of system leadership and strength-based development training.
Guy says:
“I am delighted to become a co-director on the Active Lives HIT.
“Physical activity contributes significantly towards our physical and mental wellbeing and can support us all leading happier and healthier lives. We know however there are stubborn inequalities which impact on the health, wellbeing and life chances of individuals and communities and which drive the need for services. I am looking forward to bringing my experience to the Active Lives HIT to contribute towards addressing the challenges which exist.”
