Join this discussion of what makes a healthy inclusive neighbourhood environment. The Supporting Healthy Inclusive Neighbourhood Environments Health Integration Team (SHINE HIT) will be discussing the development of an evidence-based neighbourhood ‘checklist’ for local residents, policy makers and planners to ensure the public realm has the ‘basic ingredients’ to promote and sustain physical and mental health.
This event will offer important opportunities to discuss research findings about which aspects of the urban infrastructure are important to support the health and wellbeing of children, adults and older adults. Registration begins at 9.30am and the event will kick off at 10.00am with a presentation from Dr Suzanne Audrey, Senior Research Fellow in Public Health and Director of SHINE. This will be followed by a workshop session and then lunch at 12.00pm. The event is aimed at
- policy makers
- planners
- local residents
- anyone with an interest in what makes up a healthy, inclusive neighbourhood environment.
A light lunch and refreshments will be provided at 12.00pm and delegates will have the opportunity to network with other likeminded individuals until 1.00pm.
