The Eating Disorders Health Integration Team (HIT) hosted its first research event in July. The event brought together around 40
people, including people with lived experience of eating disorders, clinicians, NHS research and development staff, commissioners, academics and students from both University of Bristol and the University of the West of England.

Helen Malson, who co-directs the Eating Disorders HIT, said:

“Our
first research event as a HIT was a great success, with some very informative
presentations. It’s vital that effective research into eating disorders and
eating disorders services takes place. We’re looking forward to our next
research event in early 2017, where we hope to engage with even more
researchers,clinicians, patients and families.”
