The Bristol and Bath Railway Path received a £1.1m boost this week thanks to new investment announced by the Department for Transport.

The investment is part of a larger national package to improve the National Cycle Network, which will be led and managed by Sustrans. The Bristol project will be a “community-led re-design to improve the quality of the existing Bristol and Bath Railway Path”, which is used by more than 1,000 an hour in some places.

Sustrans will be releasing information on how people can get involved in the redesign soon.
