The Active Lives Health Integration Team (HIT) is delighted to welcome Dr Alice Berry as its new co-director, replacing Professor Fiona Cramp who stepped down this year.
Dr Berry is Associate Professor in Rehabilitation, based in the Centre for Health and Clinical Research at the University of the West of England, and part of the Rheumatology research team at the Bristol Royal Infirmary. She is also a member of the Bristol Bones and Joints HIT.
Her research focuses on how people with long term musculoskeletal conditions are supported to manage their symptoms and condition by engaging in healthy behaviours such as physical activity.
She says:
“I am passionate about reducing health inequalities and have worked for several years with under-served population groups regionally, and with PPI team members co-designing research projects. I look forward to bringing this experience to the Active Lives HIT, to support physical activity engagement and improve health across the region.”
