APCRC becomes BNSSG CCG Research & Evidence Team

Following the merger of Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire Clinical Commissioning Groups (BNSSG CCG) on 1 April, the Avon Primary Care Research Collaborative (APCRC) is now known as the BNSSG CCG Research & Evidence Team.

You may be familiar with the Avon Primary Care Research Collaborative (APCRC), who have worked on behalf of Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire (BNSSG) CCGs for over a decade.

Following the merger of Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire Clinical Commissioning Groups into a single BNSSG CCG on 1 April, APCRC is now known as the BNSSG CCG Research & Evidence Team. They offer the following services:

Evidence: Embedding the use of evidence, achieved through research and evaluation, at the heart of commissioning decision-making
Research support: Supporting and developing research which reflects current NHS needs. The research findings are published publicly in order to have the widest possible impact
Evaluation: Advising on the best evaluation methodologies in order to support a more efficient commissioning process
Knowledge mobilisation: Bridging the gap between researchers and those who inform practice, working to influence a culture where evidence informed commissioning becomes the norm
