Adam said in a piece in The Bristol Cable: “NHS labs are working at capacity. It’s quite useful if another lab can do research-related tests, so that’s what we’re doing.”
His team plans to use a biochemical process called polymerase chain reaction (PCR) to check that easier-to-use test methods are effective enough to be used more widely. They are also working on measuring antibodies to see if people have already been infected by the virus.
