Bristol Health Partners had a stand and ran a prestigious pop-up university session at this year’s NHS Health and Care Innovation Expo, which took place in Manchester on 2-3 September. This was a unique opportunity to raise awareness of the work of Bristol Health Partners and our Health Integration Teams to an influential, national audience from across the health and care sector.
The Expo was hosted by NHS England, and around 5,000 people a day from health and care, the voluntary sector, local government, and industry attended. The Bristol Health Partners stand was in the Entrepreneur Zone, and was visited by more than a hundred people over the course of the two days, taking away more than 70 annual reviews and other literature, as well as hearing from the Bristol Health Partners team staffing the stand.
The pop-up university session, called ‘Bristol – Building a truly healthy city’, took place on Thursday 3 September. It offered a chance to tell the Bristol story to a new audience, and Bristol Health Partners had to bid and be selected by NHS England to gain a slot in this prestigious part of the Expo agenda. The speakers were:
David
Relph, Director, Bristol Health Partners
Dr Elizabeth Coulthard, Director of the Dementia Health Integration Team (HIT) and Consultant Senior Lecturer in Dementia Neurology, University of Bristol and Honorary Consultant Neurologist, North Bristol NHS Trust
Salena
Williams, Director of the Improving Care in Self-Harm HIT and Senior Nurse in Liaison Psychiatry at University Hospitals
Bristol NHS Foundation Trust
The session was given to a full house of 30 delegates. Download their presentation to find out what they said.
