HIT helps people with Parkinson's to lead independent lives

Our Parkinson’s and other Movement Disorders HIT has been working closely with the charity Parkinson’s UK to embed their local advisor into clinics run at the Bristol Brain Centre.

This innovative partnership has helped the advisor give enhanced support to people diagnosed with Parkinson’s, helping them to access over £250,000 in benefits per year.

This funding helps people with Parkinson’s, and those close to them, to live more independent lives, with reduced reliance on local public services.
