NHS England searches for healthcare innovators

Sir Bruce Keogh, NHS England’s Medical Director, has launched the NHS Innovation Accelerator programme.

Together with hosts UCLPartners and The Health Foundation, NHS England is inviting healthcare pioneers from around the world to apply to develop and scale their tried and tested innovations across parts of the NHS.

The NHS Innovation Accelerator (NIA) programme aims to give patients more equitable access to cutting edge, high impact products, processes and technologies, by focusing on the conditions and cultural change needed to enable the NHS to adopt innovations that matter to patients, at scale and pace.

The NIA invites leading healthcare pioneers from around the world to bring their tried and tested innovations to the NHS. The programme aims to select a broad range of innovations – products, processes and technologies – to be more rapidly developed and scaled across the health service, to improve patient care, and reduce costs. The application opened on 7 January, and closes 27 February.
