Director of the Improving Care in Self-Harm Health Integration Team (STITCH HIT), Salena Williams appeared on BBC Radio Bristol on Saturday 5 July, talking about the new extended Liaison Psychiatry service at the city’s A&E departments.
STITCH HIT has identified that many patients who would benefit from a psychiatric assessment present out of normal office hours, when the Liaison Psychiatry team are not normally available. Their research means that the BRI will be extending the team’s hours up to 10pm at night, and to cover weekends, from September.
