Stroke HIT welcomes new co-director

The Stroke Health Integration Team (HIT) is pleased to welcome Claire Fullbrook-Scanlon as a new co-director.

Claire is Senior Lecturer in Advanced Clinical Practice at the University of the West of England, where she is Project Lead for the Clinical Academic Model, Module Leader in Stroke Care and Cohort Lead for the Independent Prescribing Programme (IPP).

Claire is a former Consultant Nurse in Stroke Care. She co-leads Wessex Global Stroke Partnerships,  improving multi-professional stroke care in West Africa. Claire has been involved in the Stroke HIT since 2019, leading the Education Workstream.

She says:

“I am delighted to be a co-director with the Stroke HIT. I am looking forward to working in partnership with health care professionals and people with lived experience to continue improving services and care across the entire stroke journey and beyond.”
