  • 20th October 2022

We’re pleased to share a new public guide and supplementary materials on large datasets and their uses in the NHS, created by Understanding Patient Data and Open Creative Communications.

What happens to health data: a guide to large datasets‘ is an introduction to the way that health data is gathered, stored and used in the NHS today. Particular rules and guidelines may vary in different areas and change over time. However, this guide aims to allow people to seek out further information and help them feel more aware of the data that is kept about them.
